Chris is a Bowen local who has recently returned home after spending the past 15 years working as a physiotherapist in Mackay. After years of consideration, he’s made the move back to Bowen to spend more time with family, enjoy more fishing, and embrace a steadier lifestyle.
Graduating from James Cook University in 2010, Chris has gained a wealth of experience across private practice and hospital settings. He has worked extensively with orthopaedic and post-operative patients, sporting populations from juniors through to professionals, and all other general musculoskeletal conditions.
Throughout his career, Chris has spent over a decade servicing orthopaedic in-patients at the Mater Hospital and continues to have a strong interest in post-operative recovery. He has also worked with the Mackay Cutters rugby league team and maintains a keen interest in sports and exercise rehabilitation.
Chris’s true passion lies in helping people recover from injury, regain movement, and return to the activities they love. He has been accepted to study a Master’s degree in Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University commencing in 2026 and is looking forward to further developing his expertise in physiotherapy and using this to better assist the Bowen community with their health goals.
